◆Unforgiving Punishment for Youth
The Kim Jong-un regime has intensified its crackdown on what it defines as "non-socialist behavior," particularly targeting students and young people, especially since COVID.
The reporting partner explained:
"Schools punish 'non-socialist behaviors' like drug use, fraud, and prostitution without consideration of circumstances and without forgiveness, which has reduced such behaviors. The Women's Union also receives instructions at every meeting to 'strictly maintain legal order regarding non-socialist behavior.'"
Ultimately, these young people have fallen into economic hardship due to government policies. In a society where the future is closed off as a result of young people resorting to "non-socialist acts" to survive, there is no salvation.
