The photo compellingly illustrates that Jang Song-thaek and Kim Jong-un are equal. It seems that everyone in the theatre, including Kim Kyung-hee (Jang\u2019s wife) and Choe Ryong-hae (one of top power men) is giving a big hand to Kim and Jang. It is required to show courteous manner to the ruler with the heart of the highest respect, which is common sense behavior, regardless of rank.
At the conference all attendants must stand still when required to stand and they must look straight when asked to be seated.<\/p>\n

But Jang has such an attitude as to ignore Kim Jong-un. I felt that Jang would be severelyattacked by his impiousness when I saw that video on the internet. Some of the North Korean people must also have been shocked while watching this on TV.<\/p>\n

North Korean media were censored several times before releasing the images. If those images may damage the idolization of the top leader, then they must be perfectly edited. It is the characteristics of the North Korean media. In this context, it is easily perceived that Jang Song-thaek or his aide were wielded strong influence on the official media since Jang was standing out in the pictures.<\/p>\n

A defector from North Korea told me after seeing pictures like these. \u201cHow dare Jang Song-thaek take such a bold pose beside Kim Jong-un? Did he get such a power now? Won\u2019t it be impossible to see Jang\u2019s portrait on the wall?\u201d
*Portrait: It is an obligation to hang the portrait of the ruler on walls in public facilities, public places and every household in North Korea.<\/p>\n

Kang Ji-won, a defector reporter from North Korea, at the editing bureau of Rimjin-gang, also said that, \u201cJang\u2019s position in the left side of the photo was that of Kim Il-sung. I was confident that North Korea was meeting Jang Song-thaek\u2019s era.\u201d<\/p>\n

The reason for purging Jang Song-thaek, \u201cViolation of sole leadership system\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

But the sole dictatorship of North Korea is not a pushover. Abnormal happenings and Jang\u2019s arrogance, which I have noticed even though I have lived in the outside world after defecting from North Korea, suddenly ended just in two years.<\/p>\n

North Koreans must have felt that Jang had got extraordinary power and abnormal changes were happening by watching Jang on media. Jang\u2019s posture that he seemed to have equal to or greater authority than the top leader must have given the impression of impiousness and impiety to Kim Jong-un.<\/p>\n

North Korean government released the news on, \u201cthe special military trial by the state security agency,\u201d where they revealed the process and the reason of the purge of Jang Song-thaek. The news reported: \u201cJang Song-thaek had often been in close attendance on our revered Marshall on the occasion of on-site guidance. He abused this close relationship with our Marshall and tried to make his own fantasy of being a special figure by showing off that he ranked with the heads of revolution.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Jang Song-thaek tried to show off his presence as a power man through media, it became rather fatal evidence that he challenged the sole dictatorship system.
