It is revealed that the North began the propaganda toward its officials and residents that the start of the North-South talk is the General Kim Jong-un\u2019s victory. Several reporting partners in North Hamkyung Province delivered the news since March 13. (Kang Ji-won\/ISHIMARU Jiro)<\/p>\n

A reporting partner reported that a political lecture was held on March 9 for 40 minutes toward the officials above the junior level of the Party; the title was \u201cThe General with excellent insight in diplomacy.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to a high ranking official who had been to the lecture, the content was about the great achievement of the great general Kim Jong-un who, through the talk (with the special envoy from the South), tries to defeat the enemy\u2019s mean scheme to oppress the Republic by the economic sanction. There seems to be no explanation about the summit meeting between the South and North or the North with the US.<\/p>\n

Separate lectures for the ordinary people were also prepared. All the residents in North Korea are organized by unit of school, work place or region. They are, once a week, obliged to attend \u201cSaenghwal Chonghwa\u201d which requires every attendee to do self-examination. The partner reported on the study meeting during the \u2018Saenghwal Chonghwa\u2019 of March 10 with the subject that the world focuses their eyes on our country which is overcoming power nations\u2019 economic sanction. They mentioned only about the special envoy from the South.<\/p>\n

-What is the response of the people?<\/p>\n

-They don\u2019t give us any concrete information. Response, to some extent, like \u2018Is it so?\u2019 Just few are interested in it. There must be some people who expect revitalized trade with China followed by the loosened economic sanction. The people of foreign trading companies would think so too.<\/p>\n

-The North Korea government, having expressed the denuclearization, would have summit meeting with the South in April and the US in May. Do the people know it?<\/p>\n

-Are they really eliminating the nuclear weapons? I don\u2019t know about it. Do they really get rid of the nukes? They have bragged that the North is a power nation in the nukes. There was no word regarding the abandonment of the nuclear at this study meeting. The person who gave the information from the meeting of the officials belongs to a high rank. He didn\u2019t mention it at all. He seems to have no information. They keep it secret even to the high level officials.<\/p>\n

Another reporting partner in a city of North Hamkyung Province delivered the news via phone conversation on March 14 that a study meeting toward the residents was held with the same content on March 12. He said \u201cThere was no explanation about denuclearization, the North-South summit meeting, or the meeting with the US President Donald Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n

The state media of the North Korea delivered the news that Kim Jong-un met the special envoy of President Moon Jae-in without mentioning even a word of the denuclearization, the South-North Summit Meeting, or the meeting with the US as of March 14.<\/p>\n
